I believe that the war in iraq should never have started. I think that terrorism is a ridiculous thing. I believe that as a nation we should respect everyone and not discriminate against others who we think are different from us. I wish that the war was over and that everyone was happy. People should be fighting for more important thing like poverty, world hunger, and many more things. Those are all things worth fighting for. If everyone respected each other our nation would be much different. There would be no fighting or violence. I hope that the war is over soon!

The iraq's didnt start the war on terror, it was the terrorist organisation al' quida, that was for all the people who keep putting that and if the people of iraq did want freedom under saddam's rule it was almost impossable to say so to the UN, USA or NATO because they lived under a DICTATORSHIP which means that if they spoke out they would have been shot or gased like the thousands of Kurds that he murdered.

At the being of the war, I supported Bush's decision to go to Iraq and fight terrorism. I thought he had a logical reason. Bin Laden and Hussein were both evil and needed to be stopped, but the U.S. has taken it a step too far. By keeping the soldiers in Iraq, we're causing more and more violence. We need to pull out and let the Iraqi people recover from losing their leader. The Iraqi people need to become independent and set up their own form of government. They can't do that when the U.S. and its soldiers are in the way. Bush has a done a terrible job in handling the war in Iraq.

People can say that they were against the war in Iraq, but I believe to say the war shouldn't have occurred is in my opinion to be truly ignorant. No person with any degree of morality would stand by and watch people be slaughtered, let alone millions in the case of Iraq. Millions were slaughtered under Saddams Reign many in cruel systematic experiments with chemical and biological weapons. T.ugh these weapons have not been found, to deny their existance is again to be ignorant. As for the question of the U.S. going to war for oil, this is ridiculous and for those with little concept of economics. if they "oil barons" really wanted to make money they would want less oil on the market to up their prices, flooding the market would just lower prices. Simple economics. Any oil that does go on the market is paid for, some beleive it is stolen and America seems to be an oil thirsty thief, but this is wrong. To allow the evil ctators to continue and the threat of terrorism to overwhelm us is wrong. Intimes of need we have to unite rather divide over these matters.

The US occupation in Iraq is entirely unjustified. It is propossed to us that it is a just war that is in existence for the protection of the Iraqi people however this is simply not the case. The citizens of the western world have been led to believe that it is a valid fight for justice, these misleadings have been portrayed to us through mediums such as the media and increasingly corrupt governments. The only way for people to truely believe that the war in Iraq is justified is to go to the war zones themselves and experience the poverty and devistation first hand, only once this experience has occured can people be sure to have a clear answer to the question of whether or not mass murder for oil, under the guise of a justified war, is truely just or not.

A final note, although i may not agree with the war itself i do truely believe the troops who are serving over in Iraq are doing their upmost to provide support where possible in an increasingly difficult situation forced upon them by our governments.

I feel that at this moment in time extremist actions will continue to occur in Iraq and all over the wrold. Therefore before the war in iraq ends more destruction and death will definatlely happen, until more peaceful efforts are made to bring new governments into power. However sometimes the right thing to do is to fight back and the sooner terrorist dictatorship is wiped out the sooner people can get on with their lives, with the comfort of knowing that they can go out into their own towns/villages without a car bomb going off on the side of a road.

Forget the USA for a second and remember who really gets the job done, Britain.

Britain should not be in Iraq or Afghanistan as are armed forces are already stretched else where not to mention how small they are compared to the likes of the USA. Although our forces are renowned for being the best trained in the world, if our goverment wants to keep fighting these wars then it needs to back the forces with more money, personel and better quality eqipment. I would also like to say that these wars cant be won. We aren't fighting conventional armies we are fighting men women and children who are dying because some cleric calls it Gods will. Please realise i have nothing against Islam or any Arab countries or people, accept exstremists (terrorists).

I think that going to war with Iraq wasn't the proper retaliation for 9/11. By America and UK going to war showed Iraq and the East in general that we to are brutish nations which is reinforcing there stereotypes of the two nations, fuelling there hatred and doing nothing more than furthering terrorism. What we need to do is to show them that what they perceive about us as is in fact incorrect.
