Parents should be lovnig,caring,effectionate. They should be tolerant as well as patient also. They should be open wid their children so that the child can discuss everything with his/her parents. They should not critise and compare their children.

A good parent needs to understand their child with the mindset of a child.
They need to share their children’s good and bad times equally.
Instead of throwing cold water on them at every stage, they should encourage them as much as they can.
But very importantly they should know where to be firm with the child too.

A parent must value a child’s opinion. In today’s age, when children are becoming independant at much younger ages, the voice and ideas of the child should be valued as highly as traditional ideas. One must evolve with the changing times.

A good parent needs to…
trust their children and create an environment where both parents and children can respect each other. They should be encouraging and caring. Furthermore they need to be prepared to have a laugh,fun and be able to talk about anything to their children but also know when to stop!

A good parent should care for their children.
They should be a good influence and role model,
showing their children what is wrong and right in the world.
A parent should set boundaries but also let their children be themselves and nurture their personalities.
They should take an active part in their childrens life, the most important being giving them time.
Their love for their children should be unconditional .

A good parent needs to pay close attention to what their children are doing, yet not appear to be too pushy or bossy. They should take part, either actively or passively in their children’s activities. They should guide and help them on the rocky path through life and prepare them for when they come before God.

A good parent needs to always be there for their children no matter what. I also think they should be a good role model to their kids. A good parent also needs to take an interest in what their kids are doing and they also need to be firm but fair.
