Film Review Podcasts

July 23, 2007 · 4 Comments

Our Y8 students have been creating their own film reviews (see lesson plans).

They started by researching the latest films on the BBC Film Review Archive. They then shared their ideas on the films they liked by contributing comments to posts on notreblog.
Adventure Reviews| Animation Reviews| Comedy Reviews | Fantasy/Sci-Fi Reviews
They then completed an online survey and analysed the csv file in a database to see what film other students reccomend.
Finally they used Audacity to create their own film review podcasts with podsafe soundtracks from www.garageband.com

Peace is a huge part of our society. We can all do little things to promote peace, such as, writting letters to world leaders or planting “Peace Gardens.” Without world peace, the amount of crime and violence that we face today would be at least doubled. We must always remember that peace begins with us.

Peace is a major part of our lives. Without peace our whole society would be completely different. The best thing that peace does is that it protects all people. I hope that peace will always be in the United States because it is a great thing to have. It is very important that we use peace with all people not just the people we are friends with. I am afraid to think of what the world would be like without peace.

Peace is a huge part of our lives today. There is already to many bad things happenig in our world as I speak. But I think if we all pitch in to premote peace, we can make a huge difference. But the most important thing is to start to premote peace now and don’t wait for the next person to. Our world will become a much happier place to live in if we just try.
