I believe the greatest problem in the world today is selfishness. It sounds a bit silly at first. You might think, “How could selfishness be worse than poverty? Or Global Warming? Or terrorism? Or all the other hundreds of things wrong with our world today?” The truth as I see it is that all of these problems stem off of selfishness and egocentrism. For example, selfishness causes a dictator to care more for his image and how much power he has than for his people. He extends more funds to build an army than to build schools. This leads to lack of education. He takes large portions of the country’s resources for himself and government purposes. This leads to povery and starvation. Even Global Warming can be, in part, attributed to selfishness. Why do so many people not do more to prevent polution? Because they don’t have the time or they don’t want to disrupt their schedule. This, is selfish. So really, we’re all guilty of being selfish. If more of us could get over ourselves and make an effort to do something for the good of everyone else it would be a much better world indeed.
I think that Polution is the biggest problem in the world today./ People should start taking car of where they live and pick up trash. Can’t people just put their trash in a trash can. We need to be a little more respectful to where we live. We want to be clean people disasters are going to start because of polution. I think the biggest problem we face in our world today is over population. I think this for the following reasons. One of them involves the school system. Way too many classes are becoming overcrowded, with students and illegal immagrants from other countries. There is not enough money in the world to support some public schools due to the amount of increasing students, and some schools end up being closed down causing even more much larger classroom sizes for the other schools that are open. Therefore, students are not able to focus, and do as well as they should at school. Also, the amount of starved people in the world is enormous. There seems to be more and more demand for food in poorer countries, do to the increase in humanity. There are currently six billion people living in the world today, and the population is continuelly risng. I believe we need a better way to deal with such a large amount people in the world, decrease prices, stop illegal immagration to all countries, and establish a much more stable gorvernment for our countries. I strongly believe that overpopulation, is beginningto get out of hand, and not because of every child that is newly born, but because we have not yet developped a better way of dealing with the vast amount of our growing societies.

I’ve seen many beggars on the streets of China-Town, asking for money just to survive. It’s a hard life and they need help. Things need to be done to help decrease the percentage of those who never get out of poverty. The distribution of help is very uneven and untill changes are made the poverty throughout the world will only get worse.

Global warming is a major problem. We need to stop cutting trees for paper. Also stop wasting paper. We need to support alternative paper sources such as hemp.
The largest problem the world is facing is the American people, and how as a country, America is essentially only an imperialistic state searching the world for oil. (Also, comma splices are another issue the world must deal with.)
The greatest problem that we are facing in our world today would be global warming. If we continue to waste our resources, the earth will not last much longer. Our natural resources more rapidly being depleated and that is not a good thing for future generations. We need to take all of the necessary precautions to ensure that our world can continue to strive.

Wars cannot be contained until we have more peacekeepers of the starving fed, so they can have a voice in this world. Terrorists would be outnumbered with feeding all people who are starving. i think that the largest prblem in the world is child health. there are so many kids who are not getting the proper diet or exercise. one main cause of this is fast food, many kids will just allow there kids to pick what they want for dinner, no matter what it is. there then there are kids who will just hang out inside all day and not get any exercise increasing the problem. i think that something drastic should be done about this like requiring parents to make at least two healthy meals a week or haviing there kids go out and play.
I believe that poverty and overpopulation are twin problems in India which need to be tackled together. Whatever may be the advancement there are too many to share it. 33% of our population is below the poverty line where one meal a day is hard to get.
I believe that we should realise the consequences of global warming because it impacts us. The small part that we can play is by making use of public transport, car pooling and walking the extra mile.
In my opinion over-population is a major issue which needs to be tackled if we want to see visible improvement in the quality of life. It leads to starvation, unemployment and miserable existance. It will also impact sustainable development.
According to me terrorism is one of the major threat to peace one day. Loss of life impacts many near and dear ones. It leads to human trauma and engages government in using violence to curb violence. It leads to hatred in the country where Gandhi is revered. A good parent needs to be fair, caring, loving and willing too sacrifice anything for there child. They need too be proud of the good things their children do and focus on the positive things rather than the negative.
I think global warming should be the biggest concern in the world today because it effects us all and the world around us, it is an international concern. Poverty only effects some people in certain areas of the world so does terrorisom they are national worries. But global warming effects us on a larger scale it is a much bigger problem.
I thhink that war and the continued stockpile of nuclear weapons are major global problems.
Of course, over-population can aggravate the above problems because of the increased compettion just to get enough to eat — not to mention getting enough clean water to drink and getting gasoline for our autos.
In my short lifetime, the population of earth increased from 2.0 billion to 6.5 billion — and it is still increasing.
